Meet Don & Carolyn Beveridge at The Table

This isn’t a venue.
It’s their home.

Don and Carolyn are the parents and grandparents of award-winning artists, writers, and performers — but that’s not the point.

The point is that they’ve spent a lifetime holding space for others. Raising families. Feeding people. Listening without fixing. And making room for work that matters.

They didn’t build a business.
They built a table — and people just kept showing up.

Artists. Friends. Kids. Strangers. Songwriters who forgot how to write. Musicians who needed rest. Entrepreneurs who needed to cry. Grandkids who needed another cookie.

They’ve built businesses. They’ve built records.
But more than anything, they’ve built people.

Don and Carolyn won’t ask who you’ve worked with.
They’ll ask what your song is trying to say.
They won’t ask if you’re famous.
They’ll ask if you’re okay.

You don’t have to earn your way here.
You just have to show up. Hungry, tired, unsure — or ready.

They’ll have the coffee on.

What is included in the album incubator or creative project incubator?

Performance / Interview - What are you recording and what's included?
Are there different tiers if I have studio access vs. not?
What if I'm coming to write a book?
Who is this for? Artists? Creatives?
People can come to do whatever they want?

Every incubator residency is bespoke — designed around your project, your medium, and your outcomes.

In general, incubators include:

  • Private accommodation at The Table (up to 7 nights)
  • 3 meals a day, hosted by Don and Carolyn
  • Daily creative strategy and coaching with Ben Beveridge, Aspen Beveridge, and/or guests.
  • Use of private studio, cabin, writing rooms, and communal spaces
  • Optional recording sessions, performance filming, or demo production
  • A mapped project arc: from concept to completion strategy
  • Post-residency follow-up call and asset wrap-up

We’ll tailor the details to your goals — whether that’s an album, a memoir, a children’s book, or a keynote speech.

What does “Performance / Interview” include?

At the end of your residency, we offer the option to:

  • Record a live performance of one song (audio and/or video)
  • Film a short interview about your experience at The Table
  • Package this content for your personal or professional use

This is optional, and formats can be tailored — music video, artist trailer, behind-the-scenes cut, etc.

Are there different tiers if I don’t need studio access?

Yes. If your focus is writing, restoration, or non-musical work, we adjust the pricing and schedule accordingly.

Tiered pricing is available for:

  • Non-studio creative residencies
  • Partial-studio access (eg. writing only, no engineering)
  • Content-only residencies (eg. memoir planning, business ideation)

Tell us what you’re building — we’ll quote the right format.

What if I’m coming to write a book — not an album?

You’re welcome.

The Table isn’t just for musicians. Writers, creators, speakers, educators — anyone needing silence, space, and strategic structure is welcome.

Residencies are adapted to fit your medium.
The same support, meals, and mentorship — just a different output.

Who is this for? Artists? Creatives? Entrepreneurs?

This is for anyone building something meaningful — and tired of doing it alone.

Whether you’re an artist launching a second act, a creative recovering from burnout, or an entrepreneur with a story to tell — if you want clarity, space, and systems — we’ll build the right container for you.

Do you offer custom pricing or program design?

Yes. Every residency is bespoke.

We design your week based on your goals, your working style, and your creative medium.
Pricing reflects the resources, rooms, support, and deliverables required.

Tell us what you’re after. We’ll build it with you.

Is this a retreat or a family stay?

Both — and you choose.

When you come to The Table, you can be part of the family — join dinners, sit with the grandkids, have morning coffee with Don and Carolyn, and feel what it’s like to be taken care of while you work.

Or you can take the cabin, walk the creek, and write in silence.

Some artists come for solitude.
Others come for the company.
Everyone leaves feeling seen.

It’s not a performance space.
It’s a return to something you didn’t know you needed — home.

What if I just want to feel nurtured — not just produce?

You’re not alone.

Most artists don’t need pressure. They need presence.
The Table is designed to hold you. Feed you. Listen to you.

You’ll work, yes — but you’ll also be cared for.
The food is real. The coffee is early. The fire is warm.
And if you want to be left alone — no one knocks.

This is not a grind week. It’s a ground week.
The work still happens. But it doesn’t have to hurt.

Does the offer include recording one track?

Every residency includes the option to record a live single track or artist interview — filmed or recorded in the studio or cabin.

This is perfect for:

  • Reels and short-form promo
  • Artist profiles or funder presentations
  • Performance reels or digital EPKs

Want more than that?

You can upgrade to a full production single or album with Skullcreek, or even with Aspen Beveridge personally— studio time, multi-track production, and mix/master services. This is priced separately based on project scope and schedule.

What if I want to write a book?

You’re welcome here.

The Table isn’t just for musicians. It’s for makers.

For anyone carrying a story — and needing a place where it’s safe to let it out.

You don’t have to be famous. You don’t have to be finished. You just have to be ready to start.

We’ve had artists write songs.
We’ve had producers rebuild albums.
And we’ve had people come to write the first chapter of their first book — and leave with a path.

There’s no pressure here.
No judgement.
No distractions.

Don and Carolyn take care of the meals.
The cabin takes care of the quiet.
And the system takes care of you.

If you want to write the book — we’ll show you how to make it happen.

Before You Arrive

This isn’t a hotel. It’s a house.
And we take care of our guests like family.

We want to know how to welcome you — fully, quietly, intentionally.

When you book a residency, we’ll send you an intake form. It’s not a checklist. It’s a conversation.

Here’s what we ask:

About You

  • What’s your name — the one you like to be called?
  • What are you here to make?
  • What’s in the way of that work right now?
  • What would it mean to finish?

Your Creative Rhythm

  • Do you work early? Late? In silence? In sound?
  • Do you like company? Or alone time?
  • Do you prefer a schedule — or freedom?
  • Studio time preferences? Cabin quiet? Communal rooms?

Your Comfort Requests

  • Coffee order?
  • Tea rituals? Morning habits?
  • Sweet tooth? Salty snacks?
  • Favourite meal? Any dietary needs?
  • Scotch? Sparkling water? Skittles?
  • Anything we should stock for your fridge?

Your Healing Edges

  • Anything you want us to know — to hold space better?
  • Any routines, rituals, or grounding practices?
  • Want to be left alone — or pulled into the firelight?

This isn’t about luxury.
It’s about remembering what it feels like to be known.

Like going to Grandma and Poppa’s house.
Where your favourite mug is already out.
And they already know your song — before you’ve sung a note.

Can I bring my partner, kid, manager, or co-writer?

Yes — if they’re part of your creative process, or part of your life, we can accommodate them. Let us know who’s coming with you, and we’ll design the week to include, support, or give them space too.

Is there funding or financial support available?

Yes. We work with granting bodies, Indigenous program sponsors, and arts funders. If you’re applying for support, we’ll help you structure the proposal. If you’re eligible for assistance, we’ll point you to the right streams.

Can this be used as a gift or grant for an artist I believe in?

Absolutely. Many residencies are funded by friends, patrons, labels, or collectives who want to give an artist the space to create. We’ll issue a formal receipt and can include a message if you’d like it to be personal.

Can I book a buyout for my team, label, or group?

Yes. We offer full buyouts of The Table for labels, collectives, or group incubators. These can include production schedules, writing camps, or just quiet space for team strategy. Pricing is custom to size and scope.

What if I just need rest, not a project?

Then come rest.

You don’t need to perform to be looked after.
The studio will wait.
The fire will be on.
And if you leave with nothing made — but something healed — it was still worth it.

What’s your cancellation or reschedule policy?

We require 50% to secure your residency. That deposit is transferable with 30 days’ notice.
Less than 30 days? We’ll do our best to fill the spot. If we can, we’ll refund or reschedule.
We don’t penalize real life — but we protect our calendar, our people, and the space we hold.
